Privacy policy
Updated 2026-11-05
TakeHomeWorld is built so that you can use every tool without giving us any personal data. This policy explains the little data that is processed and your rights.
Who is responsible
The data controller is the operator of TakeHomeWorld. You can contact us about privacy through the contact details on our Contact page.
What you type into a tool stays on your device
Calculator inputs, text you paste into text or developer tools, and PDF files you open are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers or stored by us.
What your browser stores
We use your browser's local storage, not cookies, for two conveniences: your light or dark theme, and a short list of tools you used recently. This data never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time from the Recently used panel or your browser settings.
Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to build profiles.
If we offer a newsletter and you sign up, we use your email address only to send you what you signed up for, through an email service provider acting on our behalf. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we delete your address when you unsubscribe.
Analytics and advertising
We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add them, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. In Australia they come from the Privacy Act 1988, in New Zealand from the Privacy Act 2020, in India from the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; in the EU, from the GDPR. Contact us to exercise them.
