FAQs

Which tax year do the Australian calculators use?

The 2026–27 income year, 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027. Every rate and threshold on these pages is listed with its ATO or Fair Work source and the date we checked it.

Are the results the same as the ATO's calculators?

They use the ATO's published rates and its withholding formulas (Schedule 1 and Schedule 8), so results should match to the dollar for ordinary cases. They are estimates, not tax advice; the ATO's own calculators are linked on each page.

Is what I type stored?

No. Every calculation runs in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to a server.
