Home Loan Eligibility Calculator
Banks cap all your EMIs at a share of net income (FOIR, often 40–60%).
Max new EMI = income × FOIR − existing EMIs, and the eligible loan is the amount that EMI can repay at the given rate and tenure.
How to use the Home Loan Eligibility Calculator
- Enter your net (take-home) monthly income.
- Enter EMIs you already pay.
- Choose a FOIR (ask your lender; 50% is a common starting point).
- Enter the interest rate and tenure.
Examples
₹1 lakh/month income
Input: FOIR 50%, no EMIs, 8.5%, 20 yrs
Result: Max EMI ₹50,000 → loan ≈ ₹57.6 lakh
